Once upon a time, There were a married couple lived in the village.
They felt very lonely because of no children accompanying them. They
always prayed to God to give a child. Then God answered their praying.
One day his wife was pregnant. He was so happy. Their days turned into
happiness. They spent the days together.
One day, his wife fell
sick. She suffered a strange illness. Her husband had tried to treat
her, but she didn’t turn to be healthy. Even her healthy was getting
worse. She could not eat any food. He was so worried both his wife and
the baby’s health.
Then he remembered that there was a magic
flower in the forest which could cure every illness. But it was guarded
by a cruel witch. He went to the forest to pick the magic flower because
he really loved his wife and the baby. having arrived in the forest, he
saw the flower and picked it. But While he was picking it, the witch
saw him and wanted to kill him.”Please don’t kill me”. He begged. “My
wife is pregnant and now suffering a strange illness. If I don’t give
this magical flower, she and her baby will die”. He added. The witch
felt sorry for him and let him go. But she told him if the baby was
born, he had to give the baby to her. Because of his worrying, he nodded
to agree the condition.
Having arrived home, he immediately gave
the magic flower to his wife . Then the miracle happened! His wife’s
strange illness astonishingly disappeared. She bore a beautiful baby.
But suddenly the witch came and robbed the baby and took her away. They
just saw her leaving without doing anything to prevent it.
The witch put the the baby to the very high tower. There was no door. It only had a window. The witch was raising the baby in the tower and gave her name, Rapunzel. Some years later, Rapunzel grew to be a beautiful girl.

Rapunzel has a very long hair. Because it was never cut. The witch used it to
climb the tower to give her food. The witch always called her from
below. “Rapunzel!! let your hair down! I bring some food for you”. She
said. Besides her beautiful face, Rapunzel also had a very beautiful
voice. She stayed on the top of tower alone. She never saw human except
the witch. She felt so lonely that she spent her days by singing.
One
day, a handsome prince passed the tower. He heard Rapunzel singing
beautifully. Then he fell in love with her voice. Every day the prince
came to the tower to listen to Rapunzel. Until one day he saw the witch
climbed the tower using Rapunzel hair. On the next day, the prince
wanted to climb the tower. He was very anxious about her. Then he
followed the way the witch called Rapunzel. “Rapunzel, let your hair
down”. He imitated the witch. Then Rapunzel let her hair down. He
climbed to the top of tower with it. After he had reached the top,
Rapunzel was so surprised to know that it was not the witch but a
handsome prince. Then they fell in love each other. The prince told
about everything outside the tower. He invited her to escape. But when
they wanted to escape, the witch came and pushed him from the top. It
caused him blind. The witch got angry with her. Then she cut Rapunzel’s
hair and expelled her to the desert.
Many years the prince had tried to find her. Although he was blind, he
never gave up. He believed he could find her because of her beautiful
voice. One day, he reached the desert and heard a voice. He felt
familiar with the voice. Then they met again. Rapunzel hugged him and
cried happily until her tear fell down to the prince’s blind eyes.
Miraculously it made the prince’s sight back. Afterwards the prince
brought Rapunzel to his kindom and they lived happily forever.

Dahulu kala, ada pasangan suami istri yang telah menikah dan tinggal
di sebuah desa. Mereka merasa sangat kesepian karena tak kunjung
mempunyai seorang anak. Mereka selalu berdoa kepada Tuhan untuk
menganugrahkan seorang anak. Kemudian Tuhan menjawab doa mereka. Dan
akhirnya sang istripun hamil. Dia begitu bahagia. Hari-hari mereka
berubah menjadi kebahagiaan. Mereka menghabiskan hari-hari mereka
bersama-sama.
Suatu hari, istrinya jatuh sakit. Dia menderita
penyakit aneh. Suaminya telah mencoba untuk mengobati, tapi dia tidak
kunjung sembuh. Bahkan penyakitnya semakin parah. Dia tidak bisa memakan
apapun. Sang suami begitu mengkhawatirkan kondisi istri dan calon buah
hatinya.
Lalu ia teringat bahwa ada bunga ajaib di hutan yang bisa
menyembuhkan setiap penyakit. Tapi dijaga oleh seorang penyihir yang
kejam. Ia pergi ke hutan untuk memetik bunga ajaib tersebut karena
cintanya kepada istri dan bayinya sangat besar. sesampainya di hutan, ia
melihat bunga ajaib tersebut dan mengambilnya. Namun ketika ia sedang
memetik bunganya, penyihir tersebut melihat dia dan ingin membunuhnya.
“Tolong jangan bunuh saya”. Dia memohon. “Istri saya sedang hamil dan
sekarang menderita penyakit aneh. Jika saya tidak memberikan bunga ajaib
ini, ia dan bayinya akan mati”. Dia menambahkan. Penyihir merasa
kasihan padanya dan membiarkannya pergi. Tapi dia mengatakan kepadanya
jika bayi tersebut lahir, ia harus memberikan bayi itu kepadanya. Karena
khawatir, dia mengangguk setuju dengan persyaratan tersebut.
Setelah
tiba di rumah, ia langsung memberikan bunga ajaib kepada istrinya. Maka
keajaiban pun terjadi! Penyakit aneh istrinya menghilang secara ajaib.
Dia melahirkan bayi yang cantik. Tapi tiba-tiba si penyihir datang dan
merebut bayi tersebut dan membawanya pergi. Mereka hanya melihat sang
penyihir pergi tanpa mampu melaukan apapun untuk mencegahnya.
Penyihir
menempatkan bayi pada menara yang sangat tinggi. Tidak ada pintu dan
hanya memiliki satu jendela. Penyihir itu membesarkan bayi tersebut di
menara dan memberikan nama, Rapunzel. Beberapa tahun kemudian, Rapunzel
tumbuh menjadi seorang gadis cantik. Dia memiliki rambut yang sangat
panjang. Karena tidak pernah dipotong. Penyihir menggunakannya untuk
memanjat menara untuk memberikan makanan. Penyihir selalu memanggilnya
dari bawah. “Rapunzel!! turunkan rambutmu! aku membawa beberapa makanan
untukmu”. Dia berteriak. Selain wajahnya yang cantik, Rapunzel juga
memiliki suara yang sangat indah. Dia tinggal di puncak menara
sendirian. Dia tidak pernah melihat manusia kecuali sang penyihir. Dia
merasa sangat kesepian sehingga dia menghabiskan hari-harinya dengan
bernyanyi.
Suatu hari, seorang pangeran tampan melewati menara.
Dia mendengar Rapunzel bernyanyi indah. Kemudian ia jatuh cinta dengan
suaranya. Setiap hari sang pangeran datang ke menara untuk mendengarkan
Rapunzel bernyanyi. Hingga suatu hari ia melihat sang penyihir menaiki
menara menggunakan rambut Rapunzel. Keesokan harinya, sang pangeran
ingin memanjat menara. Dia sangat penasaran seperti apa Rapunzel.
Kemudian ia mengikuti cara penyihir memanggil Rapunzel. “Rapunzel,
biarkan rambutmu ke bawah”. Dia meniru penyihir. Kemudian Rapunzel
membiarkan rambutnya turun. Dia naik ke puncak menara dengan itu.
Setelah dia mencapai puncak, Rapunzel sangat terkejut mengetahui bahwa
itu bukan penyihir tapi seorang pangeran tampan. Kemudian mereka saling
jatuh cinta. Pangeran bercerita tentang segala sesuatu di luar menara.
Dia mengajak Rapunzel untuk melarikan diri. Tetapi ketika mereka akan
melarikan diri, penyihir itu datang dan mendorong sang pangeran dari
atas. Hingga menyebabkan sang pangeran buta. Penyihir tersebut marah
dengan Rrapunzel. Lalu ia memotong rambut Rapunzel dan mengucilkannya ke
padang pasir yang jauh.
Bertahun-tahun pangeran telah mencoba
untuk mencari Rapunzel. Meskipun dia buta, dia tidak pernah menyerah.
Dia percaya dia bisa menemukannya karena suara Rapunzel yang indah.
Suatu hari, ia sampai di padang pasir dan mendengar suara. Dia merasa
mengenali suara tersebut. Kemudian mereka bertemu lagi. Rapunzel
memeluknya dan menangis bahagia sampai air matanya jatuh ke mata sang
pangeran. Ajaibnya air mata tersebut membuat mata sang pangeran kembali
normal. Setelah itu sang pangeran membawa Rapunzel ke kerajaannya dan
mereka hidup bahagia selamanya.
